CELEBRATION OF REENACTMENT

Saturday, September 11, 2010



From 9am - 5pm at Westmoore Pottery.

History come alive as we host the 6th NC Regiment.
The regiment members will set up an encampment from 9am-5pm at Westmoore Pottery, showing the life of 18th century soldiers and followers.
Also, all reenactors of any part of the time period 1600-1870 who visit Westmoore Pottery on this day in period dress will receive a discount on purchases.






PIEDMONT POTTERY FESTIVAL AT HISTORIC BRATTONSVILLE

September 25, 2010



From 10am - 4pm at Historic Brattonsville, in McConnells, South Carolina.

Mary will attend this pottery festival with a full range of Westmoore's work for sale.
The Piedmont Pottery Festival highlights traditional pottery from NC, SC, and GA.

(Dave will stay in Seagrove and keep our shop open for regular hours while Mary is gone.)






18TH CENTURY TRADE FAIR AT FORT DOBBS

October 2-3, 2010



From 10am - 4pm both Saturday and Sunday at Fort Dobbs, in Statesville, North Carolina.
Dave will be at Fort Dobbs as a sutler, with wares appropriate to the 18th century.
He will be once again be in period dress, selling from our handmade wooden hand cart.
Visitors can view historic trades and crafts, battle reenactments, lectures by scholars, and encampments of civilians, military, and native Americans.

(Mary will stay in Seagrove and keep our shop open for regular hours while Dave is gone.)






HERITAGE DAY

From 9am - 5pm at Westmoore Pottery.

In November of each year, we mark the anniversary of our founding in 1977 (33 years this year!) by celebrating our own and North Carolina's pottery heritage.
Our focus this year will be on styles made by North Carolina's non-Moravian potters who were working in the 18th and early 19th centuries.
The official Westmoore Pottery scrapbooks will also be hauled out for this day.






HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE

Saturday, December 4, 2010



From 9am - 5pm at Westmoore Pottery

Join us this Saturday as we celebrate the holiday season.
The shop will be decorated for the holidays, and we will unload a kiln of pottery,
including special pieces made for this day.
Refreshments will be served.






STEPPING BACK IN TIME: HEARTHSIDE COOKING

From 9am - 5pm at Westmoore Pottery.

Join us this day as we host accomplished hearthside cooks
Nancy Carter Crump and Sandra Oliver, who will cook on the hearth of the large fireplace at Westmoore Pottery.
